Shamrock is a tiny Creek County community of 94 people on Highway 16 between Stroud and Bristow. Take I-44 to Stroud, then Highway 16 southwest, or approach from Bristow going northeast. It's mainly a pass-through spot for travelers crossing central Oklahoma's rolling farmland. The town's name honors the Irish settlers who founded this agricultural community in the early 1900s.
