Shadybrook is a small East Texas city in Cherokee County, about 120 miles southeast of Dallas. Most visitors take I-20 east to the Carthage exit, then US Highway 79 west into town. State Highway 42 runs north-south, connecting to Tyler and other Cherokee County communities. The town sits in classic Piney Woods country with dense pine and oak forests.
