Seymour is a farming town of 600 people in south-central Iowa, sitting at the crossroads of Highways 2 and 14 about 70 miles south of Des Moines. Highway 2 provides the main east-west route through southern Iowa, while locals use Highway 14 for the 25-mile drive north to Indianola. The town's Old Settlers Celebration each summer brings the whole county together for a Main Street parade.
