Seven Mile is a small mountain town of 636 people in eastern Arizona's pine country, about 30 miles northeast of Show Low via Highway 73. The community sits at 5,000 feet elevation where ponderosa forests meet high desert, making it a gateway to White Mountain recreation areas. Most visitors arrive from Phoenix via Highway 60 or from Flagstaff via I-40, then take Highway 73 northeast. The town gets its name from being exactly seven miles from historic Fort Apache along an old 1870s military road.
