Sequoia Crest is a mountain community of 54 people at 6,200 feet in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Take Highway 245 east from Woodlake or Highway 180 to 245 from Fresno for the 75-mile drive through increasingly steep terrain. Most visitors use it as a base for Sequoia National Park, just 30 minutes further east, though the winding mountain roads require careful driving year-round.
