Searcy is a college town in central Arkansas, about 50 miles northeast of Little Rock via US Highway 67. Home to Harding University, it serves as White County's seat with a population around 23,000. The main routes include US 67 from Little Rock, Highway 167 from the north, and Highway 16 running east-west. The restored 1902 courthouse on the town square features a distinctive clock tower that chimes every hour.
