Scott is a tiny farming community in western Ohio with just 160 residents, reached via State Route 118 from Interstate 30 near Van Wert. Most visitors arrive from Van Wert, about 8 miles south, though the village also serves local farm traffic on rural county roads. The area's flat agricultural landscape produces corn and soybeans across the rolling plains typical of western Ohio. Scott's historic one-room schoolhouse from 1876 still stands on the village's east side.
