Scipio is a small farming town along Interstate 15 in Utah's Sevier Valley, about 160 miles south of Salt Lake City. The community sits at 5,200 feet elevation between mountain ranges, surrounded by alfalfa fields and cattle ranches. I-15 provides direct access, with State Route 50 intersecting here toward Nevada and Fishlake National Forest. The town was named after Roman general Scipio Africanus by early Mormon settlers.
