Scio is a small Ohio village of 700 people in Harrison County's rolling hills. Take State Route 9 north-south through town, connecting west via I-77 and Route 250, or east through US Route 22. New Philadelphia sits 20 miles northwest, while Pittsburgh is 70 miles east. The town's 1874 covered bridge over Brushy Fork Creek is one of Harrison County's few remaining authentic 19th-century spans still in use.
