Schofield Barracks is a major Army base in central Oahu, home to the 25th Infantry Division and about 16,000 military personnel. Take H-1 west from Honolulu to H-2 north for a 30-45 minute drive through pineapple country. The base sits strategically between two mountain ranges and houses the Tropic Lightning Museum with detailed Pacific Theater battle dioramas.
