Schertz is a fast-growing suburb northeast of San Antonio, straddling three counties where the Hill Country meets the coastal plains. Take I-35 to Exit 174 (FM 3009) or Exit 175 (Schertz Parkway) from either direction. San Antonio International Airport is 25 miles southwest. The city proudly calls itself the "Kindest City in Texas" and celebrates with an annual Kindness Week each February.
