Savoy is a small North Texas town of about 1,000 people located 60 miles northeast of Dallas. US Highway 82 runs right through town as the main route, connecting to Sherman and Dallas to the west and Paris, Texas to the east. Most visitors take US 75 north from Dallas to Sherman, then US 82 east to reach Savoy. The town's restored 1908 railroad depot serves as a local museum and sits along the old MKT Railroad line.
