Savanna is a small Oklahoma town of 485 people in Pittsburg County, reached mainly via State Highway 2. Most visitors arrive from McAlester, about 15 miles northeast via US 69 and Highway 2. The area features rolling hills typical of southeastern Oklahoma's transition between plains and forests. The town sits along a historic 1890s territorial mail route from Indian Territory days.
