Sauk Rapids is a Mississippi River city in central Minnesota, connected to St. Cloud by several bridges. Highway 23 runs east-west through town, linking to I-94 and the Twin Cities 70 miles southeast, while Highway 15 provides direct southern access. The Saint Cloud Regional Airport sits 10 miles southeast. The city's name comes from the Mississippi River rapids that were tamed by early 1900s dam construction.
