Sauk Centre is a small Minnesota city along Interstate 94, about 90 minutes northwest of Minneapolis. It's a convenient stop between the Twin Cities and Fargo, accessible via Exit 127. Highway 71 runs north-south through town, connecting to Willmar and Park Rapids, while Highway 28 heads east-west. The city sits in Minnesota's lake country with Sauk Lake nearby. It's the birthplace of Nobel Prize winner Sinclair Lewis, whose boyhood home operates as a museum on Third Street.
