Saratoga is an upscale Silicon Valley city nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains foothills, about 15 miles southwest of San Jose. Highway 85 and Highway 9 provide the main access routes, with Highway 9 continuing west through the mountains to Santa Cruz. The city offers a cooler climate than the valley floor and is famous for Villa Montalvo, a historic mansion turned arts center with a natural hillside amphitheater.
