Santee is a small lakeside town on Interstate 95 in South Carolina's Lowcountry, built around massive Lake Marion. Most visitors come for world-class fishing, especially for trophy blue catfish. I-95 provides easy access via exits 98 and 102, with US 301 running through downtown. The town hosts an annual Catfish Festival each April that's been running since 1985.
