Sansom Park is a small city in northwest Tarrant County, tucked between Fort Worth and Lake Worth along the Trinity River. Access comes mainly via Interstate 820 on the south side and State Highway 199 (Jacksboro Highway) running through the middle, connecting to downtown Fort Worth 12 miles southeast. The city sits near two military airfields and occupies part of the historic Chisholm Trail cattle drive route.
