Sand Fork is a tiny West Virginia community of 96 people nestled in Gilmer County's wooded hills. Reach it via US Route 33, which connects west to Parkersburg (45 miles) and east toward Buckhannon and I-79. State Route 5 runs north to Glenville. The town sits where several small streams converge, creating the sandy deposits that gave Sand Fork its name.
