Sammons Point is a tiny farming community about an hour south of Chicago in rural Kankakee County. Take I-57 south to Exit 312, then head west on local roads through corn and soybean country. The Greater Kankakee Airport sits nearby for private planes. The old railroad depot from the 1800s still stands as the town's community center.
