Salemburg is a small farming community in southeastern North Carolina with about 550 residents. Located along US 421, it's 30 miles from Fayetteville and 15 miles from Clinton via well-maintained rural highways. The town sits in pine forest and farmland typical of the coastal plain. Its historic general store has operated continuously since the early 1900s with original wooden floors intact.
