Saguache is a tiny county seat in Colorado's San Luis Valley, sitting at 7,700 feet between two mountain ranges. Reach it via US 160 from Alamosa (30 miles east) or US 285 from the north through Villa Grove. The town serves local ranchers and travelers crossing the high desert valley. The old county jail from 1908 now houses a museum where you can tour the original jail cells.
