Saddle River is a small Bergen County borough about 25 miles northwest of Manhattan, reached via Route 17 north from the George Washington Bridge. The community sits along the actual Saddle River on rolling, wooded terrain with large-lot homes behind stone walls. Several historic stone bridges from the 1800s still span the river through town.
