Rutledge is a tiny farming town in northeastern Missouri, just south of the Iowa border along State Route 15. The main connection to larger cities runs east 15 miles to US Highway 63, which links to Kansas City (150 miles) and Des Moines (100 miles). With only 112 residents, it's one of Missouri's northernmost communities surrounded entirely by corn and soybean fields.
