Rutledge is a small Georgia town about an hour east of Atlanta via I-20 and Highway 11. The drive takes you through rolling Piedmont hills into Morgan County's rural landscape. Highway 11 serves as the main north-south route connecting to Madison and Commerce, while Highway 12 runs east-west through town. The town's claim to fame is Georgia's oldest continuously operating general store, which has been serving customers since 1896 with its original fixtures still in place.
