Rushville is a tiny Finger Lakes village of about 600 people on Canandaigua Lake's western shore. Take Route 245 along the lake from Canandaigua (15 miles north) or Geneva (12 miles south). From Rochester, use I-90 to Exit 43, then Route 21 south to Route 245. The village sits on rolling farmland at 800 feet elevation with typical upstate New York weather. It's the birthplace of Oregon Trail missionary Marcus Whitman, commemorated by a historic memorial.
