Rushville is a small county seat in east-central Indiana, about 50 miles southeast of Indianapolis. US Route 52 runs right through downtown, connecting to Cincinnati and Indy, while State Road 44 heads north to Shelbyville. Most visitors from Indianapolis take I-74 east to the Shelbyville exit, then SR-44 south for 15 miles. The town's crown jewel is the 1896 Rush County Courthouse with its towering 165-foot clock tower.
