Rushville is a small farming town in west-central Illinois that serves as Schuyler County's seat. Located about 60 miles northwest of Springfield, it's accessible via US Route 24 east-west and State Route 101 north-south. The town sits in rolling prairie country surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Its historic courthouse square features an 1880s Second Empire courthouse with a distinctive mansard roof and clock tower that dominates the downtown skyline.
