Rupert is a small agricultural city in south-central Idaho, located along Interstate 84 about 20 miles east of Burley. Highway 24 connects it north to Heyburn and south toward Nevada, while Highway 25 runs northeast to American Falls. The city sits at 4,200 feet elevation in high desert country, with hot summers and snowy winters. Rupert houses the visitor center for Minidoka National Historic Site, which preserves the history of a World War II Japanese American incarceration camp.
