Runaway Bay is a lakeside community on Lake Bridgeport, about 60 miles northwest of Fort Worth. Most visitors arrive via US 380 west through Denton, then take Farm Road 2123 north. The area offers waterfront recreation and golf in a quiet rural setting. The Runaway Bay Country Club features an 18-hole course that's been overlooking the lake's eastern shore since the 1960s.
