Rule is a small farming town in north-central Texas, about 50 miles northeast of Abilene. US Highway 380 runs right through town, connecting to Haskell 12 miles west and continuing toward Throckmorton. From Abilene, take US 277 north through Anson, then US 380 east. The town's restored 1920s cotton gin still operates seasonally, keeping alive its agricultural roots.
