Ruidoso Downs is a mountain foothill town in south-central New Mexico, about 6,400 feet up in Lincoln County. Take I-25 south from Albuquerque to Highway 380 west, then Highway 70 through Roswell to Highway 48 north. From El Paso, it's Highway 54 north through Alamogordo to Highway 70 west. Sierra Blanca Regional Airport sits right in town. The community hosts the All American Futurity quarter horse race every Labor Day weekend.
