Royal is a tiny farming community of 35 people in north-central Nebraska's Antelope County, about 20 miles southwest of Neligh via Highway 14 and county roads. It sits in the Elkhorn River valley surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Royal holds the distinction of being one of Nebraska's smallest incorporated cities.
