Roxobel is a small farming community in northeastern North Carolina's Bertie County, home to 326 people. Reach it via US 258 south from Roanoke Rapids, then east on NC 305, or from Rocky Mount via US 301 north through Scotland Neck. The town sits amid tobacco fields and pine forests typical of the Inner Coastal Plain. Its post office, housed in a brick building since 1963, remains a local gathering spot.
