Rowesville is a small farming community in Orangeburg County, about 15 miles northeast of Orangeburg via State Route 210 and US 301. Most visitors arrive from I-95 at Exit 98, then take US 301 south to Route 210 east. The town of 393 residents sits in rolling Lowcountry farmland and was named after the Rowe family's 19th-century general store.
