Rossville is a farming town of about 1,100 people located 15 miles northwest of Topeka along Highway 24. The route from Topeka takes 20 minutes through rolling prairie, while visitors from Kansas City follow I-70 west to Topeka, then Highway 24 northwest. The town sits where Kansas Creek winds through agricultural land, with Highway 24 serving as both main street and the primary link to surrounding communities like Silver Lake and St. Marys. The 1936 WPA gymnasium at the Community Center features striking Art Deco stonework.
