Roslyn is a small farming town of 147 people in northeastern South Dakota's Day County. US Highway 12 runs right through town, connecting to Aberdeen 30 miles west and continuing toward Watertown and Minneapolis. State Highway 27 provides north-south access. Most locals drive to Aberdeen for services, while US 12 carries cross-country traffic between the Twin Cities and points west. The town's historic grain elevator still operates as a working symbol of its agricultural roots.
