Rosiclare is a tiny river town of about 1,000 people sitting right on the Ohio River in southeastern Illinois. Take Route 1 south from Harrisburg or Route 146 east from Golconda to reach this isolated county seat. The nearest interstate access is I-24, about 30 miles northwest. The 1884 Hardin County Courthouse anchors the small downtown area.
