Roseto is a small borough in Pennsylvania's Slate Belt, about 15 miles northwest of Easton. Take Route 512 from Route 33 or I-78 to reach this community of 1,400 residents nestled in the rolling hills of Northampton County. The town became famous for the "Roseto Effect," a medical phenomenon discovered in the 1960s showing remarkably low heart disease rates among its tight-knit Italian-American population.
