Rosendale is a small farming town in northwest Missouri, about 45 miles northeast of Kansas City. US Highway 169 runs right through town, connecting it north to Iowa and south to St. Joseph. Most traffic comes from Kansas City area residents heading to southern Iowa, while locals make the 30-mile drive south to St. Joseph for shopping. The historic grain elevator beside the railroad tracks has been shipping local corn and soybeans for over 100 years.
