Rosedale is a small Mississippi River town in Iberville Parish, about 25 miles south of Baton Rouge via Highway 1. The route follows the river levee through flat delta country, passing Plaquemine on the way. Long-distance visitors typically exit I-10 at Plaquemine and head south. The town maintains one of the area's few remaining ferry crossings to White Castle on the west bank.
