Rosebud is a small Missouri town of 442 people in Gasconade County, about 70 miles west of St. Louis. Take I-44 west to Highway 28, then head north through Owensville to reach it. The town sits in rolling Ozark foothills near several creeks that flow into the Missouri River, an area that reminded German settlers of home.
