Roseau sits 7 miles from the Canadian border in Minnesota's northwest corner. Highway 11 runs east-west through town, connecting to Warroad and North Dakota, while Highway 89 heads north to the border crossing at Roosevelt. From Minneapolis, take Highway 169 north to Grand Rapids, then Highway 2 west to Bemidji, and Highway 89 north for the 350-mile journey. Polaris Industries, the snowmobile manufacturer, was founded here in 1954.
