Rose Hill is a small farming town in eastern North Carolina, about an hour from both Raleigh and Wilmington. US Highway 117 runs right through the middle of town, connecting it north to I-40 and south toward the coast. The area is flat farmland with a humid climate and hot summers. Rose Hill hosts the annual North Carolina Poultry Jubilee each September, featuring what's billed as the world's largest chicken barbecue.
