Roodhouse is a small Illinois River valley town of about 1,500 people, located 40 miles northwest of Springfield. Take I-72 to Exit 35, then Route 267 into town. US Route 67 runs north-south through the area, connecting to Jacksonville and river communities. The town features a restored 1870s one-room schoolhouse that now serves as a local history museum.
