Roland is a small eastern Oklahoma city of 3,700 people, located just 10 miles west of Fort Smith, Arkansas via US Highway 64. Take I-40 Exit 325 to reach downtown, or use Highway 9 for north-south access. The town sits in the Arkansas River Valley where Ozark foothills create gently rolling terrain. Most visitors arrive via Fort Smith Regional Airport, about 15 miles away. Roland's restored 1920s Katy Railroad depot now serves as a visitor center.
