Rocky Ford is a small farming community in eastern Georgia, about an hour northwest of Savannah via US 301. The town of 276 people sits along the Ogeechee River in Screven County's agricultural heartland. Most visitors arrive from Savannah using I-16 west to US 301 north, or from Statesboro on US 301. The community got its name from a rocky river crossing where early settlers once forded the Ogeechee.
