Rockville is a tiny community of 260 people along the Virgin River in Utah's red rock canyon country. State Route 9 runs right through town, connecting Zion National Park eight miles east with Hurricane and I-15 to the west. Most traffic comes from park visitors rather than locals. The town sits in a narrow valley between towering sandstone cliffs that create spectacular scenery year-round. Its claim to fame is the historic 1920s suspension footbridge over the Virgin River, one of Utah's last remaining bridges of its kind.
