Rockport is a small Arkansas town of 800 people in Hot Spring County, situated along the Ouachita River about 45 miles southwest of Little Rock. Highway 84 provides the main access route, connecting through Benton from I-30 or from Hot Springs to the southeast. The area features rolling hills and pine forests typical of the Ouachita foothills region. A historic cable ferry once operated here, carrying vehicles across the river before modern bridges replaced this unique crossing method.
