Rock Port is a farming town of 1,200 people in Missouri's northwest corner, right at the Iowa and Nebraska borders. US Highway 136 runs straight through town, connecting to Maryville 30 miles southeast or continuing west into Nebraska. From Kansas City, take I-29 north to US 136 west for about 90 miles through farm country. The town preserves an 1880s one-room schoolhouse that now serves as a local history museum.
